BioBlitz 2008

BioBlitz is an annual ecological event held by the Rhode Island Natural History Survey (RINHS), www.rinhs.org, during which scientists and volunteer naturalists spend 24 hours recording the diversity of life on a particular parcel of land.  The event is open to the public and a great experience for all ages.  BioBlitz 2008 was held June 6th and 7th at the 482 + acre Grills Preserve located at the end of Bowling Lane in Bradford, Rhode Island.  The preserve is one of fourteen conservation properties owned by the Westerly Land Trust, www.westerlylandtrust.org
